Policies, Procedures and What Parents Need to Know
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
If the school system closes due to inclement weather, there is no Driver Education held that day. When classroom or behind the wheel are canceled, instructors make every effort to contact students involved by phone, email, and school announcements. If school is in session, the school office makes announcements regarding after-school activities. If after school activities are canceled, all Driver Education is canceled.
We also announce closings on WRAL closures.
Driver Education Class Policies:
- Driver Education is offered through the State program ONE time to each eligible student residing or attending school within Wake County. If you fail the class, you may not take it with Jordan Driving School again.
- Students must pay the $45 fee.
- Students will first take the 30 hours of classroom. Approximately 6 weeks after the class is over, a driving instructor will call to schedule the driving class. The behind-the-wheel phase is usually a 3 or 4-day class, 2 or 3 students per car. We do not drive with only one student. We do not pick students up at home. The teacher will meet the students at a school or other public location.
- If you have not already done so, please take a moment to read eligibility requirements and fees and process before you begin looking for an appropriate class.
