There is now a $45 fee to take Driver Education in Wake County. This fee went into effect August 2011. We suggest that you
1. print the registration form
(see #5 - you MUST turn in the form for the lead teacher to assign student to a class)
2. check the schedule to find the school/classes you are interested in taking
3. Fill out the registration form
4. pay your fee - on-line is prefered and the most efficient method
WCPSS Fee payment website (for printable directions on how to access the payment website)
You may pay on the wcpss payment page no matter where you attend school - public, private or home school. For those schools that list specific months, select your first choice month. We do not guarantee that you will get into that specific class because we must have sufficient enrollment to hold the class. Please do not show up for class without having received a confirmation from the Lead Teacher.
Write your Order # on the form (your form may say "Confirmation")
You may also pay at the JDS office. No personal checks please; money order, cashier's check or cash only. You may also pay when you go to class. Your teacher will tell you which day you must bring in your money.
5. turn in your registration form to either the lead teacher for driver education at your school or to JDS (scan and email to jds@jordandriving.com, fax to 919-662-2628 or bring to the office at 3751 Junction Blvd. Raleigh NC 27603). You must turn in a registration form to be enrolled into a class.
If you have additional questions, please talk to your Lead Teacher.
Please write in your first, second and third choice of class or month at ONE school. Registration Forms for after school class should be submitted to the lead teacher at the high school. If you attend a scdhool other than the high school you are interested in, please check with the lead teacher to insure that outside students may enroll. You must be able to arrive on time each day and you must attend all scheduled classes. If you are interested in a school break class, you should write the name of the class (example: Saturday Class); you should list a private or Charter School school class by name.
