For information on Behind-The-Wheel, contact the Lead Teacher at your base high school.

             

Students must be Wake County residents or attend a Wake County School. They must be between 141/2 years old and 18 years old on the day that the class starts. Current enrollment in public, private or home school is required.  These classes are for students who have never before taken a North Carolina Driver Education class and are at no cost to the student.

When attending a full day class, students will need to bring a bag lunch, drink and snack.  All students will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate on the first day and pen/pencil and paper every day.  You will be advised if there are other requirements in a specific class.

·        Classes at the public high schools are open to all age-eligible public, private and home school students in Wake County as long as you have never taken Driver Education before and do not have a NC Learner’s Permit.    Classes available at other locations are listed below.

Saturday classes are held during the school year – Saturday class will resume in the Fall

Home School - Classes specifically for Home School students are held during the school year - see below.  First class begins August 17, 2009.

Private School or Charter School may sign up for any class for which they are eligible and available. See below for additional information.  If we have a class scheduled at your school, we will list it below.  You may also attend any summer class scheduled at the high schools that is still available.

We make every effort to maintain the scheduled dates.  We cannot guarantee that we will not have to make a change in the dates of a class.   We will notify students who have signed up for the class of any change in dates or times.

To register for SATURDAY CLASSES or School Break Classes held at the Jordan Driving School Office location:  print out and complete a Registration Form and fax to the Jordan Driving School office: fax # 919 662-2628.  No cover sheet is required.

·        Write the class that you want at the top of the form.

·         See below for dates of each Session

·         If there is a “registration begins” date, we will not accept forms for that class prior to that date.

Saturday Classes will resume in the fall.  We will hold 4 summer classes at the JDS office classroom.  These are listed at the bottom of the summer schedule; click here to see the summer schedule.

There are no summer classes scheduled at either of these schools.
