Students must be Wake
County residents or attend a Wake County School. They must be between
141/2
years old and 18 years old on the day that the class starts. Current
enrollment in public, private or home school is required. These classes are for students who have
never before taken a North Carolina Driver Education class and are at no cost
to the student. When attending a full day class, students will need to bring a bag
lunch, drink and snack. All students
will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate on the first day and
pen/pencil and paper every day. We
will advise you if there are other requirements in a specific class. |

Classes at the public high schools are open to all
age-eligible public, private and home school students in Wake County, as long
as you have never taken Driver Education before and do not have a NC Learner’s
Permit. Click here for after school class

registration forms accepted – waiting list for this class is full. 5. April 17, 24, May 1,8 & 15 Registration
begins February 12.2010
We will accept a few “alternates”.
If a student cancels or does not show up on the first day, we will
contact alternates in “date of registration” order. March
29 – April 2 Snow Make-up day is March 29. The Spring Break

We give
priority to Home School students for these classes. We MAY open up a Home School class to other

have questions about when you will get your driving time, please contact the

& date of class at the top of the form.
Scan and email to Ms. St. Clair or fax to 662-2628. Please note that
we need to have sufficient numbers to hold the class. If we do not have enough registration for a
class, we will change the dates or we will cancel the class. We will advise students of other options. Home School students must be residents of Wake County to be eligible for these classes. |
